You have to start somewhere

Cory began working in theatre beyond high school as a lark taking up acting, scene shop, and props crew roles in his spare time. Eventually as engagement for fun turned into working for passion, acting turned into directing and playwriting while scene shop and props crew turned into full blown technical direction. Cory graduated Northwest Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science with minors in Theatre and English: Writing in the Spring of 2021.

After graduation from Northwest, Cory decided he was not done with his time on or behind the stage and co-founded Dreamline Theatre Company with lifelong friend Sequoia Crissman. Not wanting to let a lack of opportunity stifle a desire to challenge an audience, Cory has written, directed, and produced plays with emphasis on cultural relevance and sustainability.

Most recently Cory closed a production of The Cardboard Knight, an original work of his own authorship at KC Fringe Festival.
